TAN SLEEVE - "BAD FROM BOTH SIDES" (Bus Stop)

"An excellent release from these multi-faceted songwriters!" (Indiepages)

"Exquisite" (Fufkin)

"Neil Young at his most cheery; Zombies-through-Rundgren sophistication" (Torpedo)

"Varied, engaging, and beautifully crafted. Bad From Both Sides is a triumph." (All Music Guide)

And of course, the wonderful translated reviews from around the globe. Translated in full for your reading pleasure:

"The called 4-Track EP von Tan Sleeve belonged to my favored albums of 2002. At the same time to give Steve Barry (The wind) and Lane stone mountain (The wind), which behind Tan Sleeve put, understand it to the Pop depth and ease and joke. Its fourth publication "bath from both sides" ties smoothly to these qualities. If they sing to gentle Pianobegeleitung "It doesn't snow in New York anymore", in still gentler manners the destruction besingen or with Beach Boys and Burt Bacharachi ease over things, which run wrongly, feels well waived one lamentieren. In the end they still besingen with melancholischem Unterton "The meaning OF success". At the end it concerns only, how one feels. As quite Tan Sleeve nevertheless have." (Swiss Records)

TAN SLEEVE - "Fall Love" cdep (Bus Stop)
"Very pleasant autumn music, lying somewhere in between the Pearlfishers and Simon & Garfunkel" (Indiepages.com)

"The songs here are truly beautiful" (Ink 19)

"So beautiful, one wonders whether one isn't dreaming." (Les Inrockuptibles - France)

"There's a bit of Smile-era Brian in Fall Love, a Bacharach demo that he never wrote called Last Time I Checked, or It Doesn't Snow In New York Anymore, a tune sounding like Paul Simon-gone-country. You get so addicted to this stuff" (Popism)

Here's a great one from France (Poponews), translated vis Alata Vista's Babelfish. We live for this stuff...

Fall Love (Drunk Stop/Parasol) I do not know even any more how to call that, with force. Beautiful melodies, pretty voices, choruses with the third, a light piano, some acoustic guitars... of the songs which cherish the skin and which would dissolve more than the one hard one to cook for little that it lends the ear to it. The ep have been followed to Bus Stop (with which American owes them, for more than 10 years, the exits in their beautiful very large country of some singles of Christopher Saint or Sneetches), resemble, and it is so much better. Steve Barry and Lane Steinberg play the Simon in vain & Garfunkel of operetta on the small pocket of their single, they do not deliver of them less four titles of pop sentimental and timeless. Pop in all the directions of the term, and yet (thus?) condemned to the darkness and the lapse of memory. Useless to specify that it is untraceable in France. And statement that to Japan these two guy leave the discs at EMI. The old men fans of Beautiful South or Zombies would make well all the same tighten an ear.
